Identity crisis

I'm trying something new out. Something small, but significant. I'm going by Turtle. I hope that doesn't confuse too many people. Turtle was a fun and short-lived nickname I had while I was in the Army. Everyone in the military has a nickname of some sort, and that was mine. It was also my CB handle, in the days before everyone discovered how cool the internet was.

Since the said coolness, I have resorted to going by rebturtle, or RebTurtle -whatever. My initials + turtle. It's unique, and I can use it on damn near any website without conflict.

But it sounds funny.

I dunno, what do you think, interwebs?

  • As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks. If you want "Turtle" as your handle, then go for it. I hear from alot of people that "Flashtrigger" sounds like a guy's name but I don't really care, it works for me.
    Besides, "Turtle" is close enough to "RebTurtle" that I doubt there'll be any mass confusion. :)

  • I wondered what rebturtle. Thought it was short for "rebellious turtle". I think it's neat because it's yours. Sure, there may be other Turtles out there but I bet you're the only rebturtle.

  • I like em both, but I was thinking that maybe, just maybe, there are already alot of "turtle"s out there, so you may have some conflict. Long live RebTurtle!! ;o)

  • I knew the REB was for your initials, but the real truth is that the REB was short for REBEL !!!!!!!! You always rebelled against anything I said.....*grin*. Can't wait for Kristin and Beth to get old enough to pay ya back! I like the REBTURTLE....that is just YOU! Ooops. Maybe I should say I like Turtle and then you can rebel and go with Rebturtle!!! Either way...you are still you...and that is what counts.
